On February 10, the Meifugan High-End Coated Sheet Production and Manufacturing Project in Tangshan, undertaken by the Metallurgical Industry Company, began its main construction phase with the driving of the first pile for the 1450mm six-stand pickling and cold rolling tandem unit.
Located in the Leting Economic Development Zone of Tangshan, Hebei Province, the project covers an area of 520 acres and has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million tons of high-end coated sheets. The project includes the construction of a 1450mm six-stand pickling and cold rolling tandem unit, two 1450mm galvanizing lines, one 1450mm degreasing line, one batch annealing furnace (30 furnaces), one continuous annealing line, one single-stand temper mill, two double-stand temper mills (also for secondary cold rolling), one tin plating line, one chrome plating line, one nickel plating line, two recoiling and tension leveling lines, and a smart logistics transportation system, along with supporting facilities such as grinding rooms, inspection laboratories, information systems, and public and living facilities.
The Meifugan High-End Coated Sheet Production and Manufacturing Project is another significant achievement following the completion of the Hebei Meifugan Vanadium-Titanium High-End Digital Series Cold Rolling Production and Manufacturing Project, further solidifying the company’s presence in the local and industry markets.
